If you follow this tutorial correctly you will take an original un modified Xbox and set it up so that it functions as a media center, allowing you to view video and listen to audio files downloaded to your PC through your Xbox on your TV. Step 1 - Setting up UXE and xbmc: Fase 1 - Impostazione di UXE e xbmc:
- Extract UXE Complete. -- L'estratto UXE completa.

- Open readme.rtf and follow the instructions to set it up for your Xbox. -- Aperta readme.rtf e segui le istruzioni per configurarla per la vostra Xbox.
- Now go in the place-on-e folder, then ROOT folder. -- Ora andare nel luogo in-a-e cartella, quindi cartella principale.
- Delete everything in this folder. -- Elimina tutto in questa cartella.

Step 2 - Creating a boot CD: Fase 2 - Creazione di un CD di boot:
- Go to the uxe-c-replace folder. -- Vai alla uxe-c-sostituire cartella.
- Copy all these files. -- Copia tutti i file.
- Extract Xboxhdm 1.9 -- L'estratto Xboxhdm 1,9

- Go into the linux folder, in here you should see a folder called C , paste the files here. -- Andate in linux cartella, qui si dovrebbe vedere una cartella chiamata C, incollare il file qui.
- Go to the place-on-e folder of UXE complete. -- Vai al luogo-a-e cartella di UXE completa.
- Copy all these files. -- Copia tutti i file.
- Go into the linux folder of Xboxhdm 1.9, in here you should see a folder called E , paste the files inside that. -- Andate in linux cartella di Xboxhdm 1,9, qui si dovrebbe vedere una cartella denominata E, incollare i file che all'interno.
- Create a folder in E called TDATA -- Create una cartella chiamata in E TDATA
- Create a folder in E called UDATA -- Create una cartella chiamata in E UDATA
- Go to the Xboxhdm folder and click on make-iso-win.bat -- Vai alla Xboxhdm cartella e fare clic sul make-iso-win.bat
- This will start creating the CD image. -- Si inizia a creare il CD.
- Burn this image to a CD when complete. -- Masterizzare l'immagine su un CD quando completo.

Step 3 - Getting the Xbox ready: Fase 3 - Avere la Xbox pronto:
HDD = Hard Disk Drive. HDD = Hard Disk Drive.
IDE = Integrated Drive Electronics. IDE = Integrated Drive Electronics.
- Turn Xbox upside down & unscrew the 6 torxx 20 screws. -- Xbox Girare a testa in giù e svitare le 6 viti torxx 20.
- Turn over and remove the cover of the Xbox. -- Capovolgere e rimuovere il coperchio di Xbox.
- Move the cables to the HDD & remove a torxx 10 screw below them. -- Spostare i cavi per l'HDD e rimuovere un torxx 10 vite sotto di loro.
- Unplug the 2 cables to the HDD and lift it out with the tray. -- Scollegare il 2 cavi per l'HDD e sollevarlo con cassetto.
- Unplug IDE and power cables to the DVD drive. -- Scollegare IDE e cavi elettrici per i DVD.
- Unscrew the 4 Torx 15 screws in the side of the tray to release the HDD. -- Svitare le 4 viti Torx 15 nel fianco del cassetto per rilasciare il HDD.
- Plug the 2 cables back into the HDD. -- Collegare i 2 cavi indietro nel HDD.

Step 4 - Getting your PC ready: Fase 4 - Come arrivare pronto il vostro PC:
- Boot your pc to bios and set the PC to boot up from CD. -- Avviare il PC per bios e impostare il PC per l'avvio da CD.
- Save the bios settings and turn the PC off. -- Salva le impostazioni del BIOS e accendere il PC spento.
- Remove the side panel to access your motherboard. -- Rimuovere il pannello laterale per accedere alla tua scheda madre.
- Unplug all IDE cables to HDD at the HDD side. -- Scollegare tutti i cavi di IDE HDD HDD a lato.
- Make sure your CD Drive for your PC is connected to the secondary IDE. -- Assicurarsi che l'unità CD-ROM per il vostro PC è collegato a IDE secondario.
- The primary IDE should have an IDE cable coming from it. -- L'IDE primario dovrebbe avere un cavo IDE provenienti da essa.
- Make sure this cable can reach the Xbox HDD. -- Accertarsi che questo cavo può raggiungere la Xbox HDD.

Step 5 - Bringing it all together: Fase 5 - Mettere tutto insieme:
This is the step where things could go wrong if you don’t follow very carefully. Questo è il passo in cui le cose possono andare male se non seguire molto attentamente. The Xbox locks and unlocks the HDD everytime it switches on and off and we have to get it unlocked to be able to transfer our new softmod files to it. - DO NOT TURN THE XBOX OFF. -- Non accendere la xbox OFF.
- Power up the PC and XBoxHDM should boot from the CD we made. -- Accendere il PC e XBoxHDM dovrebbe fare il boot dal CD abbiamo fatto.

Step 6 - Transfering the files to the Xbox: Fase 6 - Trasferire i file a Xbox:
- On the menu choose option 1. -- Nel menu scegliere l'opzione 1.
- Let it detect the HDD. -- Let it rilevare il HDD.
- When it does type xboxhd -- Quando si fa tipo xboxhd
- at the prompts type yes everytime. -- Le istruzioni ogni tipo di sì.
- This might take a while so wait. -- Questo potrebbe richiedere un po 'di tempo così attendere.
- When it says its done unplug the IDE cable from the Xbox HDD. -- Quando si dice la sua fatto scollegare il cavo IDE da Xbox HDD.
- Plug the Xbox IDE cable back into the Xbox HDD. -- Xbox Collegare il cavo IDE indietro nel Xbox HDD.
- Turn off the Xbox to lock the HDD agian. -- Spegnere la Xbox a bloccare il nuovo HDD.

That should be it, put your PC back to how it was. Che dovrebbe essere, posizionare il vostro PC torna a come è stato. Connect the Xbox DVD drive back up and screw it all back together and now when you start your Xbox it should boot to Xbox Media Center not to the default Xbox dashboard.
